About Goole
Goole is best known for being an inland Port town. In fact, Goole is home to the UK’s furthest inland port, is highly versatile and capable of handling nearly 2 million tonnes of cargo per annum.
In the 1960’s Goole was twinned with Gibraltar in the 1960s. At the time, Gibraltar Court was named in Goole and Goole Court was named in Gibraltar. Goole is now twinned with Złotów in Poland. Goole sits on the side of the M62 which give it great access to Hull, Leeds and Manchester.
